Angie Woods: Lead Equity Specialist
Angie Woods has been in the field of education for over 23 years gaining valuable experiences in many roles. She has served as an African American Family Liaison, Behavior Specialist, Dean, Assistant Principal, and Principal on Special Assignment in an Office of Educational Equity. Angie has a Masters in Family Life Education from Concordia University, St. Paul and an Ed Specialist Degree from Mankato State University. Angie’s leadership in educational equity includes facilitation of professional development for Culturally Responsive Competent Teaching (CRCT) for a variety of district roles including cabinet, school board, teachers, paraprofessionals, and families. She has a special interest in the recruitment and retention of BIPOC educators.
Currently Angie is continuing to cultivate equitable environments in her current role that supports the increase of diverse state licensed/certified mental health service professionals serving public schools in the state of Alabama.
